"Well Celgene did ask for an extension of the option"
No they didn't. Please stop the BS. I can't take it any more. It is just as likely that MSB is buying Celgene.
I was highly suspicious that the option extension was at MSB's suggestion, otherwise the announcement would have said it was at Celgene's request, or there would have some form of further consideration from Celgene (payment/capital injection/quid pro quo) for the extended option. So I contacted the company and was told it was a mutual agreement and there was no further consideration.
