The media release seems to be carefully worded. Though there is an inference that a TB test has been developed, there is no actual statement to that effect. The device itself was first announced by Mycrolab more than three years ago, and it is not obvious that any tests have yet been implemented. As FG and Roboshan have pointed out, there is an enormous, and very time-consuming, gap between having a good idea, and producing an approved, marketable product.

Mycrolab appear to have a potentially good delivery vehicle, but there is much work to be done, and money to be spent, before we can expect to see its practical application in TB testing.
