I think the theme here is that these new/online companies are starting to realise that this online theme is just a temporary fad and that realistically in the long term they will need both an online and physical presence, just exactly as MYER has done. they have realised that in Australia MYER is in every prime physical store location with the best exposure. Also, they have realised that MYER has struck the perfect online to physical presence balance and now they want in on it via partnerships/agreements, as the old adage goes "if you can't beat them join them" and that's exactly what they are doing
