Anecdotal cases are hardly useful in predicting the future.
One has to look at the overall trend. I think it's pretty clear where (traditional) brick and mortar retail is heading in next 5-10-20 years.
To think otherwise is to put ones head in the ground.
It felt like it only took months, not years, for the likes of blockbuster to simply go bust.
Traditional retail is still deeply ingrained in our culture, but that can only last so long.
