Myer tends to drop before dividend and then snap up after the ex date,
There is several reasons why it could be doing that but I have made guesses as to why in above posts.
I expect MYR to hit 50c, and I said that weeks ago.
I also expect Myer to snap up after the dividend ex date.
Its not so much about attracting enough buying by value hunters,
All stocks are ran in the market depth by funds,
Mum and Dad type investors dont have the ability to churn trades like a funds trade bots.
Churn up, churn down , the funds have control of all stock prices pretty much.
The short level is at 9% and thats low for Myer,
If Funds were more bearish I think the short value would be more like 20%.
If funds want to get more short, they possibly could send Myer for a run and boost shorts on the way.
A guess from me but I still reckn Myer will trade over a $1 to $1.50 again one day in the future.
