What happens if dividend is significantly cut/cancelled?
This is now almost a formality as the company will announcement a significant loss (after impairments) and therefore will not be able to countenance continuing the dividend. The impact of this for some of the "mum and dad" investors will be shocking. I do not think many of them expect that their dividend will be cut. At least Telstra spent some time getting their investors ready for their dividend cut.
Waiting earnestly to see what will happen next...
