I think the key's things MYER needs to do right now are:
1/ Continue to cut the fat, which they appear to be doing as demonstrated by the title of this thread. I.e. cutting unnecessary execs, Jennifer Hawkins, office space expenses etc etc.
2/ Continue to improve service/displays/product choice and general 'vibe' in the store. A store should be a place you want to go... and feel good going to.
3/ Continue to drive sales via concessions/sales/marketing/advertising. I.e. ads on TV etc.
4/ Continue to improve their website's usability and functionality
If they can execute on all of this and can continue to execute on all of this over a number of years then we should see some better ROI and ROE.
