NO, NEVER! Coles Myer had LONG since sold off Myer to private equity interests and become Coles Group before they in turn were acquired by WES after
1) The private equity guys were investing in the business amd making ahead-of-Plan improvements to Myer performance
2) The Coles Group management failed abysmally at the Coles turnaround they promised when they rejected private equity giants KKR's approaches in 2005-2006
No wonder COLES GROUP shareholders took up WES' offer which Grant Samuel said was UNFAIR but still RECOMMENDED: they didn't DARE leave Coles in the hands of the Keystone Kops who were still running it!
