the business is doing well.. he severely underplayed his hand 2 years ago when myer was on the ropes… now he needs to revisit his strategy.
Remember Myer has its own nuclear option and that could be to buy David Jones and fund it through a capital raising+debt. Such a strategy would dilute Lew’s control and force him to make a play or back off.
