Just remember as well that the gold price never reflected "fundamentals" in gold, it just represented an asset the market thought was safe, exploited the perceived low value and pushed the price though the roof.
It was like oil many years ago when it ran to over $120 plus (which doesn't seem all that high now) but it was at the time. Something moves, people need to make money so they trade whatever is on the run.
Just remember as well that the gold price never reflected...
