I have been following this for the last month and I dug as deep as I could with what is online. Seems very different and limited to giving body fat as long as you have the additional data coming into the pictures you take with the Halo band data. So the Halo band feeds activity and other body matrix along with the shape they are capturing into the pictures. From that they are doing some cool machine learning stuff to estimate what you body fat is.

I think todays interview “on the couch” Vlado showed little concern with it. His point was valid, it is bringing customers to them as they have a different system and they also do measurements and so much more.

My personal view is why spend the money on another device and pay a higher subscription for Halo if you can do it all in/on the mobile phone you already have.

Maybe Amazon need to buy these guys out LOL!
