Maybe, I suspect he wants to get his own company restructuring done first, but everything has a price though!
There's been a lot of misplaced fear in the recent sell-off. Buying/selling a company this well established based on current market conditions doesn't stack up to me. It's net cash, so can ride anything out, and management has been preparing for conditions.
Hasn't been much talk about the Qantas loyalty head joining the Board. That's really interesting IMO. After Qantas, Velocity, Flybuys and Everyday Rewards, the Myer loyalty program must be close to the next largest. Probably getting to be worth about the current market capitalisation on a sum-of-parts, depending on how you value it. Much smaller that Flybuys or E-Rs, but probably a wealthier average member by a long way.
