If Myer bit the dust another retailer would quickly fill the vacuum. Nature abhors a vacuum. So glad I wasn't tempted by the IPO. Having worked for them for some years, I knew how moribund their management was. Making changes was like trying to turn the Queen Mary around. The boys club lacked vision and imagination.
