64c share price difference between MYR and DJS now. At one point, it was only around 30c difference. DJS share price seems to be being held up, and MYR share price cannot win a trick. Bernie Brookes has made some bearish comments in the last few days, but this is a terrible decline of MYR.
jarg, a dividend of 18.5c would look good right now- that's well above 10% + franking. With a $1.64 share pricew now though, I can't help but think MYR will give a dividend no more than 10%. Traditionally, MYR and DJ's had dividend of about 8.8% + franking. Hard to know if they will reduce the payout ratio, or if the MYR SP will go up!
Crazy that this thread started only a month ago, and the company has lost almost its dividend twice over in that time.
It was painful to watch the trading of MYR and DJS today: the powers that be would not let MYR rise, and would not let DJS fall. Hard to know what conclusion to draw from that.
