its believed that retail confidence is being dinted for the coming season/s as interest rates are predicted to stay high and even rise further. THis is not good for spending power although the government is doing what it can to assist with energy rebates and welfare payment rises etc, Nonetheless peeps spending may need to be curtailed now and belts tightened with spending for essentials only for most I imagine.
