Historically Melbourne never had Thursday late night shopping,. Unlike Sydney, it was always just on Friday nights.
However MYR Melbourne CBD (flagship store) opens at a late 1000 AEST/AEDT on weekdays, but even in winter it's open until 2100 hours on Thursday and Friday nights.
At 1800 tonight the store was very well patronised (as was the city centre: crowded with international students, largely Taiwanese, mainland Chinese, Filipino, Indian and harder for me to differentiate, Indonesian,).
