One retail 'expert' I read said the unsettled, damp to very wet weather being experienced along much of Australia's east coast should be good for retailers as fewer Australians will go to beaches, and more to shopping centres where they can be under cover (although travelling to and from can be a pain in the rain, as traffic slows or trains/buses are sometimes delayed).
