If a run a retail store and one day I am selling shoes and the next day I decide to sell handbags then wouldn't this be a substantial change? This is obviously an exaggeration, however your statement sells the changes being made short. Myer is all about the sum of their brands, that's how they make money. So readjusting their brand strategy is not an insignificant change, this is most likely what fuelled the majority of DJ's recent performance IMO.
