It is interesting that MyRepublic has entered the Australian Telco market and TPG intends to bid for mobile spectrum in Singapore.
I'm struggling to get my head around how MyRepublic can be financially viable in the Australian market without owning any infrastructure. Resellers have very poor margins - look at M2/Vocus.
While the MyRepublic financials cannot be found being a private company, it doesn't sound like they are healthy at all - http://www.todayonline.com/singapor...-what-it-takes-become-singapores-fourth-Telco
Running losses in Singapore, Australia, Indonesia and NZ is a most likely very foolish. They haven't even established profitability in one region before moving onto another.
Teoh takes no prisoners, he will probably make an example out of MyRepublic and make sure they default for daring to think they could enter his turf without any repercussions. I sure am going to enjoy watching MyRepublic have their throat slit and bleed to death.
