personally I have found dreams annoying, disturbing, real, unpredictable and useful, but generally I think that is the subconscious mind helping you during sleep to issue warnings, consider consequences and otherwise find solutions
the catholic church can assist with guardian angels, and other types of angels too
religion has great philosophical value...and all the other things that people get out of it
there is a lot more to the catholic church philosophy than the bible.. there is a route to enlightenment also
