The people of Israel today are virtually all of Khazar (Turk/Mongol stock) extraction. The "Jews" have no genetic claims to the land of Israel and no family connection whatsoever to historical Israel.
That is not at ALL what the study he is citing concludes.
The study clearly found genetic evidence of Judean origins for the Ashkenazi, amongst others.
Just another typical example of someone with a pre-conceived idea trying to meld scientific studies to fit their argument, and ignoring the parts that don't fit.
The truth is that different studies using different methodologies have found differing levels of "Judean" origin for the Ashkenazi Jews. Which is not surprising because we can't genotype the Khazars, they don't exist any more as a coherent group. We also can't genotype the original Judeans. We can only genotype the Ashkenazi and look for signals in the vast noise of haplotypes, but since we don't even really know what we are looking for, it's completely unsurprising that different studies are finding different things.
Here's the concluding sentence from the paper he cites: "We conclude that the genome of European Jews is a tapestry of ancient populations including Judaized Khazars, Greco–Roman Jews, Mesopotamian Jews, and Judeans and that their population structure was formed in the Caucasus and the banks of the Volga with roots stretching to Canaan and the banks of the Jordan."
