I agree with GZ, I think the missile tests are intended to give them something to bargain with. Even though it is a closed society, in recent years they have tried to establish links with other countries, even we have diplomatic relations with them. However the USA has tried to isolate them, perhaps trying to up the odds to get out of the 50 year stalemate they are locked into on the border. I think we should not over-react as their neighbours, China and Japan, have a bigger stake in settling this than everybody else and perhaps also have a better understanding of the best way to deal with them.
