1.5 months to 3 months supply isn't a real lot in context, I don't think. Could change very quickly if the market dynamics move only just slightly.
Think about it another way: Georgie keeps 12 months supply of lube in his back shed just in case times get tough and the lube factories slow down or close for winter. Georgie starts to get the twitches if the lube supplies get down to 9 months. Now, none of us think that's excessive - do we?
