To think that the GoG was not aware of the geopolitical situation when making the decision to implement the 100ppm limit, would be rather foolish. And yo think the GoG will all of a sudden change their minds on the 100ppm limit is even more foolish.

The Russia/Ukraine situation is nowhere near as significant as the need to diversify RE supply away from China and rather irrelevant to GGG current situation IMO.

China have had a strangle hold in rare Earth Supply for many decades and the West particularly the US took their eye off the ball regarding processing and allowed China to secure their position simply because it was cheaper.

GML business plan was to ensure that the Critical Minerals to be extracted could be done in the most efficient and safe way and used the dominant world supplier at the time Shenghe expertise in that plan...GML are not politicians and only looked at how things were at that time....
The arrangement with Shenghe does not change anything as they do not own the company and as we know GML were negotiating with EU processing before all this started.... Further we are not at war with China and they dominate everything as you should know....

It was really not highlighted as a serious issue till Trump became President in 2016/17 and decided to try and do something about it..Pompeo or Barr clearly making statements about China Critical Minerals and rare Earth supply. Hence the money that DOE has given to MP to rebuild it's processing facility and Lynas also to build a plant in Texas and for that matter Silex Systems to build an enrichment as well.

Hence the actions taken by Mountain Pass to reestablish processing in the US...to secure supply of Critical Minerals now in increasing demand because of technological advance.....

The GoG position on the 100 ppm was purely a IA decision based on their stance on Uranium and the effort to stop Kavefjeld. It was not a unanimous decision and still remains contentious even though current Jensen Situmuut have agreed to let it stand..It is well recognised that the IA party Naaja Nathanielsen has not been truthful to the Greenland Parliament in her actions to introduce the 100ppm ban and also not released the legal advice she received on the matter regarding GML..

GML position is that their licence is outside of the ban and implementation of act 20...

You suggestion that the Russian/Ukraine conflict is no where near as significant as the need to diversify REE supply away from China and irrelevant to GML situation is a silly statement.

You just need to take a look at the serious moves Russia is making in the Arctic and their close collaboration with China in that process....Greenland is a signifiant location in that process....

I mentioned it before Greenland can't continue to live in a museum while the Arctic will change dramatically around them with the moves that Russia and China are already making....

If you are seriously interested in Greenland then you should be aware of all these issues and the dissatisfaction of the Union and others with the performance of the current GoG and IA party..
