Analyst at major bank notes NAB (NAB) hasn't been buying back
any shares this week, says last time it ceased buyback, bank was in talks with
Abbey National. Notes NAB has bought back stock at levels in excess of A$36.00,
says if it is intent on buyback then it should be buying at current A$34.60
level. While analyst believes Abbey National merger is on backburner for time
being, says NAB could be sizing up Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley
instead. NAB down 9 cents at A$34.56. (RAT)
