Agreed, Westpac led the way initially, then it was a case of all banks doing the same, plus Qantas, BHP, Telstra etc. Corporate mindthink.
$1.5M is small change for them, however there is reputational damage. Directors should be held accountable for what they hoped to achieve with this spending, and their positions, when it was shown to be against most customer and public wishes.
