if anyone here thinks that NAB cares about religious or other such sentiments or sentimentalities, they need their head read. it's a business decision, plain and simple. they've identified a growing and potentially profitable market segment and plan to profit from it. as a shareholder i applaud it and could care less about the history of the no-interest thing - superstition and religious nonsense belong in the dark-ages, imo -
btw, your quote 'These rules existed because pigs and shellfish breed disease and sickness' amused me. before being chased out of the kitchen and told to stay in my study till called, i noticed that my wife was preparing roast legs of pork for lunch and we're having prawns to start!! - as soon as the children and grandchildren arrive we'll sit down to our delicious meal of 'disease and sickness'.
