Yeah ASX's tech sector is a joke. You can't possibly have a thriving tech sector in our market when the country's status of sci & tech is comparable with 3rd world countries. Fixing that requires decades of hard work and investment, which our various governments (left or right) weren't willing to do. Everyone loves the end result (US, Germany, Japan), but no one wants to do decades of hard work to prepare the foundation.
For ASX tech sector, all you need is a good story that average Joe understands; and that allows for SP to be pumped upon listing. One company wanted to disrupt the world and replace YouTube; another had imaginary contracts with amazon; another one wanted to disrupt world's manufacturing and have Boeing and Airbus begging to use its tech; and the list goes on; and you can find most of them on delisted.com
