Afterpay's massive market cap can only be sustained under these conditions:
- Meeting growth targets
- Meeting revenue targets
- No major competitors (e.g. Z1P is 2% of APT, not major at all)
First PayPal, the worlds largest fintech coy, has stepped in to take market share and now a big Aussie bank.
There goes the massive growth expectations right out the window. These two will eat up market share pretty hard.
Paypal more so with it's vast customer base in the US and EU.
This is another nail in the APT high valuation coffin.
APT is not dead, but it's definitely not a $70+ stock either.
Give it 1 year, we'll be at $25.
