It could be argued that many of the other incidents had their genesis back when Argus was in charge and that Cicuitto was not the architect of them (a dubious argument, but one with some mileage).

This incident, however, has occurred entirely on Cicuitto's watch.

The question is whether the market, or major institutional shareholders will now say that Cicuitto must go (along with his Head of Risk Management), or whether they will also demand Board changes (ie: Charles Allen).

Cicuitto is so far removed from day to day management that he no longer appears on National Vision.
