The more I learn, the more I realise, how much I do not know.
When I was reading through that Vic EPA pdf yesterday, the acronym ''NAG'' leapt off the page at me, and I read it a second time, just to make sure.
Getting back to the logistical issue of any form of temporary storage for PASS, I did read (in a nsw epa PASS pdf) that they recommended utilising sprinklers, to keep the PASS wet, in order to prevent it from turning into ASS.
A logistical nightmare. imho
And the pdf also stated a 24 hour window, for PASS disposal or treatment.
So, I would still venture that the tunnelling contractors would treat PASS like the ''plague'', and want it removed and disposed of, well within any EPA requirements.
Actually, I will cobble together an email, on behalf of we Nagsters, and flick it to the Vic EPA, so we can hear direct from them, and I will post up their reply.
I will post my intended email before sending it to them, so I can amend it if required.
Any specific questions, relating to PASS handling, and storage ?
I would like more information on any PASS transport requirements.
