interesting points. it may have been a poison chalice but that was at a time when China/CATL were playing the field with a massive PRC state funded debt as part of the BRI. it also when bust when Li prices were sh$t and globally governments Eu,US, AUS etc did not have a holistic strategic policy in green tech (I.e. EVs) and resources. 2021 is a different year and globally the power houses are on board.

In relation to the NAL bid, it is not the 'Jesus nut' for SYA but it definitely advances their position as a major player in the Li space.

When it comes to the Canadian process' and approach, culturally québécois are renowned for bureaucratic delays. That's why you see the likes of SRG or Central American Nickel focusing their mining efforts outside of Quebec/Canada. The Canadian government is now on board, linked in with the US and the FVEYS economic community as they realise that economic power can be weaponized to undermine governments to their whim.

If SYA win the bid, then you will see everyone climbing over each other to JV with SYA or if they don't we will follow a similar path to DEG in AUS etc.JOR.V in Canada.

    It's a win-win for SYA regardless.
