KRN uses a slightly different tone from Sermitaq and add some more.
This coalition might not last very long.
"IA and Naleraq were alone in voting uranium bans through
During the Autumn Meeting in November last year, IA and Naleraq ensured that it will no longer be permitted to pre-study, investigate and utilize uranium in Greenland.
This means that the law now states that if uranium is to be re-investigated in the Greenlandic subsoil, a majority of the population must vote yes to it in a referendum.
Siumut disagreed with IA and Naleraq on the issue of uranium.
At the press conference today, Erik Jensen would not take a position on whether Siumut will work for a referendum on that particular issue.
- That question we are leaving right now, it sounded from Erik Jensen.
Hans Enoksen: We feel fooled
For Hans Enoksen, this is a turning point in the cooperation between Naleraq and IA, after the two parties voted through the ban on uranium during the Autumn Assembly.
He believes IA has held Naleraq for fool.
- I have told the chairman of Nalaakkersuisut that we feel exploited and fooled, he says and adds:
- The rest of the parties would not be involved in the uranium issue, and after they made us vote it through, and achieved the most difficult thing possible, they have almost said: "Goodbye! We do not have time for you". This is how their behavior can be interpreted, Hans Enoksen believes"
