Please report back your findings, always interested to hear, Kmart have done a really good job essentially getting into the discount store space, the Kmart brand is just soooooo popular with women!
Must admit to not having been in a TRS store lately since the closest one closed down, last trip into a store was about a year ago and I was quite impressed then, there's just nothing to make me want to go out of my way to go into a TRS, will always stop in if I'm close.
Interesting to note though there are 4 separate discount stores I pass regularly, 1 I avoid for being too pricey for the exact same products but the other 3 are all great value independent stores.
Seems the independents are doing quite well, from speaking to the stores it's due to group buying and some distributors all supplying the same products to all these independent operators, as far as buying power goes TRS would need to grow a little more aggressively to stay ahead IMO.
No Kmart anywhere near me either so it does appear it was the independents that drove TRS out of that part of town, very large section of a city to not have any TRS stores.
(3 Aldi's though they would have to be affecting TRS also)
