I agree this must have come across as a useless idea when in the context of saving Australians money, particularly to those who do not understand who pays for the costs of transporting food and other goods. A semi truck uses about 1 litre of diesel per 2 - 2.5km.
To those who do not understand that this measure would work harder on inflation growth than all of Swans budget policies, 5 cents a liter must really sound stupid!
