After Nobel Prize winner, Sir John who did much of his ground breaking work on the nervous system using cats as experimental subjects! (As a student studying physiology I attempted to demonstrate the righting reflexes that Sherrington described but my kitten, as Eccles then was, must not have read Sherrington ços he fell on his head instead of his paws. Didn't hurt him and he went on to live a glorious life, fathering many kittens of his own...)
