    JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) -

    Namibia's uranium output continues to rise and expected to quadruple over next few years, but diamond production falls a giant 55% year on year due to global economy.

    Namibia's third-quarter diamond output more than halved compared to the same period last year, but production of uranium has been rising, giving support to the small African economy, the central bank said on Friday.......

    .......The bank said Namibia's uranium output rose 17.2 percent during the quarter compared with the previous one and was up by 10.2 percent year-on-year after the country's two mines owned by Rio Tinto (RIO.L)(RIO.AX) and Paladin Energy (PDN.AX)(PDN.TO) ramped up production.

    Currently the world's fourth-largest uranium producer, the southern African country is expected to more than quadruple uranium production over the next four to five years, with several new mines due to come on stream.....
