Did I not read something pertinent to the conversation? My eyes are a bit blurry, I pulled an all-nighter to complete my essay last night on the role of th Jewish Councils in the Holocaust.
5 TCF gas reserves is impressive, only problem is the gas price is probably less than $1. Can anyone find info on this I have some other stuff to do.
Just shows that in terms of gas, the old adage 'location, location' rings true.
Assuming 5TCF gas is discovered offshore Namibia and the price is $1AUD, then it is equal in terms of revenue to a discovery of around 350 BCF in the Po Valley given the $14AUD gas price. And that is assuming capex is equal which it isn't - the capex in Namibia would be - as says Rio Tinto's Mr. Albanese - 'several ball parks' higher than in Italy.
