Thanks for posting the Nanosonics short covering graph.
Looks to me like more than a few of those shorting Nanosonics stock are expecting that an announcement will be made when the company finally submits its CORIS application to the FDA and that such an announcement may be imminent. Of course, the underlying concern of any shorters would be about the effect of a bounce in the share price if and when the CORIS application to the FDA is announced.
Seeing as we are now more than two weeks past when the company had originally expected to submit its CORIS application to the FDA, I would say that the short covering is a prudent and expected insurance play by those shorters involved in the covering.
