Hi Logco, Yes, in politics there will tend to be friction between individuals and factions. However, that this little 80 year old has managed to win majority support in leadership positions cannot be overlooked. The Republicans are no exception. There is entrenched hatred there including from the defrocked hater-in-chief Donald Trump. Donald is probably the greatest hater the Republican Party has produced surpassing even the McCarthy era. He couldn't get on even with the people he appointed. On Nancy being a woman she would have faced many headwinds along the way but that she personally managed to smash that glass ceiling is to her credit .She is probably coming to the end of her career. If she can leave at a time of her own choosing that would be fitting for this powerhouse of a woman and energetic 80 year old proud grandma.

Will be interesting power struggle as this will be her last term, the Democrats could easily be very divided party when choosing her successor ,one that will be acceptable to the people rather than the far left ratbags..
