Thinking about this further, the numbers are quite appealing if my interpretation is correct.
They state:Vali will supply AGL under a gas sales agreement announced 23 March 2022 for the supply of an estimated 9 petajoules to 16 petajoules in the period to end 2026.
Gas committed under the GSA, the first supply agreement for the company, represents 9 to 16 per cent of the field’s proved and probable reserves.
My read makes this reserve worth over $1 Billion
- Gas price in Australia in February was $10 per GJ.
- 1 PJ = 1,000,000 GJ
- 16 petajoules is worth $160 million.
- If this represents 15% f the reserve, the reserve is worth more than $1 Billion.
