I believe there is/was/going to be (need to check) legislation here in Oz for childminders that everyone who visited their house more than x times per year whilst the cared children were in the house, needed a Working with Children check. It is childminders responsibility to ensure the checks are in place, and if flouted childminder is breaking law.

So for example if the childminders own mother visited more than x times per year whilst cared children in the house, then the childminder would have to ensure that HER OWN MOTHER had a Working with Children check!

Also, all the questions arising of
a) how on earth do you police something like this?
b) only takes one dodgy kiddyfiddler one visit to do harm anyway...

Just more ludicrous interpretive legistlation taking up taxpayers money.
