Sat through Sufi Zafar's seminar at Dartmouth - pretty hard going pre-latte!
No information on EUA, foundries etc, but quite a lot of cool science and other snippets.
The take-homes for me were:
SiNW-FET sensors have been the leading tech in the biosensing area for over 20 years, but were not commercialisable until Sufi did her work on reducing sensor-to-sensor variation
The sensor should be suitable for sampling from breath, but more work needed (this could be huge) - slide below
Diagnostics market set to explode by 2026
Functionalisation of the sensor (what analyte you want to detect) happens post production, and it is isn't automated yet. Big changes in Fabs likely to happen once tool manufactures recognise the potential to add machines to do this.
Nanodx jumped on her to get the licence about 2 months after publication - must have been right at the start of 2019 or thereabouts.
