Peter, the nano particles are plenty small enough to travel through the circulation (they're up to 40x smaller in diameter than a red cell), they might have more difficulty than simple antibodies or simple viruses in moving deep into certain areas with poorer blood supply.

The particles would 'find' the cancer cells by being bound to antibodies specific to proteins that only the cancer cells produce on their surfaces - this is the weak link of all antibody directed therapy, my previous post touches on why some cancer cells might still dodge the particles.

What is novel about this technology is the method of cell killing, which because it is thermal/mechanical might be able to defeat some of the cancer cells usual tricks for avoiding the immune system.
