Seems to me Merck are very much interested in beefing up its animal health division.

The latest is there is some swap-and-shop going on between bayer and Merck over mercks consumer health business. Could pocket Merck $14b. Merck are also about to unload $15b worth of drugs that the patents are due to expire.
Looks like merck will be cashed up soon, also they just missed out on a deal that would have seen them swap its consumer health business for novatis animal health and vaccines unit.
So many avenues for ADO to choose, slowly but surely they will go down every one imo.
