Really, the question would be, does a breath test for gastric cancer or any other type of cancer improve the chances of survival. Picking it up is one thing, but does that mean it's already spread to the system and is now shown in lung exhalation. Maybe if the patient was made to burp? Or somehow bring up air from the stomach? Or perhaps there are early biomarkers that are found in the blood stream that make their way to the lungs.
I see great potential, but I think sensors will one day expand to include bloods, urine, stool, sputum, sweat, hair, nail clippings, skin scrappings for melanoma, vaginal swabs, and and anything biopsies etc.
