Our former CEO was fond of saying that AKIDA technology can identify patterns. Give it any sort of sensory input and it will identify patterns. The following taken from today's press release is informative of this:

"The Akida neuromorphic processor chip will be used to interpret sensor responses and to find out which responses are the most representative for antibodies that are protective. The objective of the Biotome research project is to create a handheld device that uses nanomaterial-based sensors in combination with the Akida chip that will give accurate results in seconds."

Added to which we have the observation of Alex Divinsky from today's podcast that one of the use areas for AKIDA technology that stands out for him is in rare diseases where you do not have lots of data for the purpose of training old technology neural networks which do not operate like the human brain but which require potentially millions of patterns of something you wish to identify before it is sufficiently trained to do so with the required accuracy and as such for rare diseases are totally useless.

Whereas AKIDA technology with its brain like ability to one shot to few shot learn, then extrapolate and incrementally learn and become increasingly more accurate over time as it is exposed to the pattern/s you want it to find medical scientists and researchers can do what is now impossible and with unfathomable cost savings.

In one tiny technology block AKIDA makes Chinese data farms obsolete and no longer an advantage in the cold war race to artificial intelligence dominance.

The possibilities for AKIDA technology in the world of beneficial applications of Artificial Intelligence are quite mind boggling.
