Osaka missing the interviews does deprive the sponsoring media companies of revenue.....so fair enough.....she cops a fine.....after all.....said revenues pay for her appearance fee/prize money
but that's a fraction of the revenue she generates in attendance and television fees from.......you know.......actually playing
she's a unique, reserved personality that is very different from the usual hyper-aggressive alphas that dominate tennis......so losing Osaka will also lose the demographic that her kind of personality attracts
so all in all.......ridiculous approach by tennis officials
