Given lease renewal is 'automatic' according to the above article, I am starting to wonder what shenanigans might be going on behind the scenes. Maybe Ivory Coast not as safe as P.L. thought?
They ought to be aware it is illegal for Australian companies to make payoffs.
But maybe a chinese company is handing cash out to get permits reallocated as has happened in so many other african countries in recent years.
