I came across this from the Hansard which proved quite insightful. This was the providers involved with delivering NAPLAN.
Based on media accounts, the problem with NAPLAN was the frequent dropouts. I've talked to a few parents and students who have sat the exam and they have similarly confirmed that it was a concerning rollout. Their accounts were extremely concerning and some told me of multiple students being able to use their calculators to answer their NAPLAN questions.
Based on the share price drop today, I have no doubt that the market is beginning to realise that Janison have a lot of responsibility attached to the poor NAPLAN performance and this will undoubtedly affect their ability to expand to providing assessment solutions to other educational institutions.
